Jans Koerts brings an unparalleled depth of experience and passion to Elite Sports Academy Australia's track and road cycling program. His cycling journey began at the age of ten, sparking a lifelong commitment to the sport. After years of rigorous training and international competition, Jans earned a place on the elite Dutch amateur team, Koga Miyata. At just 21, his hard work and dedication paid off when he was recruited by the prestigious Dutch professional cycling team PDM.

Throughout his professional career, Jans raced for renowned teams such as Festina, Rabobank, Cofidis, and Mercury. His career highlights include riding in the Tour de France, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Milan-San Remo, as well as winning stages in the Tour of Spain and Paris-Nice. In 2001, Jans claimed victory as the Dutch National Champion, cementing his legacy in the cycling world.

Jans’s deep-rooted passion for cycling continues to drive his dedication to helping aspiring athletes achieve excellence. He trains at the Nerang Velodrome, providing young cyclists with expert coaching and a first-class facility to hone their track skills. His motto, "If I could do it, so can you," reflects his commitment to inspiring and guiding the next generation of cyclists to reach their full potential.
